Botox

NEUROMODULATORS:

Neuromodulators such as Botox® Cosmetic and Dysport™ are prescription medications used to temporarily relax the muscles that cause moderate to severe lines between the brows.  Therefore, it will soften and often eliminate these wrinkles.  Results usually last up to 4 months however results may vary.

BOTOX® COSMETIC (onabotulinum toxin A) by Allergan, Inc.

A sterile, neuromuscular blocking agent that is FDA approved for temporary improvement of moderate to severe glabellar lines (lines between the brows).

DYSPORT™ (abobotulinum toxin A) by Medicis Aesthetics, Inc.

A FDA approved sterile neuromuscular blocker for the treatment of moderate to severe glabellar lines (lines between the brows) and adult cervical dystonia (abnormal head position and neck pain).

These products are not interchangeable as the dosing and properties are not the same.
