Dr. Billet has been in active practice of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Chesapeake since 1985 after completing plastic surgery training at EVMS. He graduated from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 1978 and did his general surgery residency training at the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore. He obtained board certification in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 1986 and became a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons in 1989. His practice emphasizes skin cancer reconstruction, breast reduction surgery, abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), and minimally invasive facial rejuvenation.
The first 15 years of his practice were in association with Dr. William P Magee. He was greatly pleased to rejoin Magee Rosenblum plastic Surgery in Norfolk in 2016. Dr. Billet participated in over 14 medical missions with Operation Smile, including 10 as team leader. His travels with Operation Smile took him to Philippines, Colombia, Ecuador and Panama. His ability to speak Spanish assisted greatly in his duties as team leader in those countries.
Dr. Billet has been happily married to his wife and true love, Saria, for 35 years. They have two wonderful children, Allison who is a teacher in Henrico County, Virginia and Michael who is in his second year of emergency medicine residency at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond.
Dr. Billet has received the TOP DOC award every year since 2010. This award is determined by physicians in the community and who they would choose to have as their treating physician.
